UK Taxi Advertising Case Studies
Challenger Tyres & Exhausts
Challenger had previously used bus advertising but opted for taxi advertising with Cabvertise when provided with a price comparison, and they saw the saving they could make.
Challenger have depots in several different areas in Sheffield so they wanted a targeted geographical campaign, focusing on the areas surrounding each depot. Cabvertise ensured that all drivers lived close to the specified depots, and parked their cabs in a visible place when they were not being driven. Challenger were also able to specify a different number of cabs specific to each location.
Challenger have been so impressed with the results of their taxi advertising that they have renewed their initial campaign, and increased the number of cabs they have on the road.
Premier Inn, Sheffield
The Cabvertise design team worked extensively with a local Premier Inn manager to come up with the taxi advert they wanted. However, Head Office decided they wanted to run with a design they had previously used elsewhere as it had all the necessary approvals within the company. This was all fine until it was noticed that the phone number, which was a crucial part of the advert, ran across the petrol cap.
The point here is that Hackney cabs don’t have a cover across the petrol cap so they can’t have adverts covering this small section. As the advert couldn’t be altered in any way to change the phone number location then Cabvertise had to get resourceful. Cabvertise had a several petrol caps made purely for the cabs involved in the Premier Inn campaign so that the advert could be printed as required.
The end result looked great and everyone was happy.
RAF Careers
Corporal Bob Worthington-Harris from RAF Careers, South Yorkshire saw one of the Cabvertise cabs driving around and got in touch. He was convinced they wouldn’t be able to afford a taxi advert as they only had a small budget, but he just wanted to get an idea of what they could get for their money.Cabvertise took the brief and the budget available and assured him that they could work within both the budget and the timeframe he gave.
When he saw the designs for the RAF Careers cab he was amazed. He was even more amazed when he saw the completed cab and realised the advertising power he had managed to get for his money. He was extremely happy with the taxi advert and one of our most satisfied customers to date.
